IDiS pilot "Integrating Standards into the Asset Management Shell" successfully demonstrated

DKE and Fraunhofer Institute of Optronics, System Technologies and Image Exploitation (IOSB) have successfully demonstrated the IDiS pilot "Integrating Standards into the Asset Administration Shell" ("Normintegration in die Verwaltungsschale" (NormAAS) on 26 June 2024.

More than 100 experts from over 50 organizations are involved in IDiS - Initiative Digitale Standards (Initiative for Digital Standards), including parson AG as a member of the iiRDS consortium.

The demonstration showed how the Asset Administration Shell (AAS) of a standard can be extended to include standard content and fragments, thereby simplifying and accelerating product development. Based on the AAS of a product under development and the AAS of a standard, the following results were achieved:

• Standard requirements were integrated into the product development.
• Product capabilities and standard requirements were aligned. 
• Standard conformance of the current product development status was evaluated.
