iiRDS at tcworld 2023: myths, use cases, and new developments
The iiRDS standard (intelligent information Request and Delivery Standard) has become an established standard in contemporary technical communication. At this year’s tcworld conference, taking place November 14 – 16, 2023 in Stuttgart, several sessions demo interesting use cases and latest developments as well as misconceptions of iiRDS:
- In iiRDS: Latest Developments, the iiRDS consortium presents new developments of iiRDS in 2023, such as the new release, the request part project, the international standardization, and the integration of iiRDS in Industry 4.0.
- In Danfoss goes iiRDS – Moving to a standard-based metadata model, Danfoss Power Electronics together with parson present their use case: Danfoss‘ journey to a digital delivery of product information that matches industry standards using a DITA-based CCMS and a metadata model based on iiRDS.
- In iiRDS unternehmensweit – Metadaten und Datenquellen sinnvoll erweitern, Heller together with plusmeta discuss their use case and the question when extending iiRDS is necessary and which strategy can be applied.
- In Viele Quellsysteme ein Zielsystem – ein Update, Siemens Energy together with ICMS present their use case and how iiRDS helps standardizing metadata from a variety of sources.
- In iiRDS – MythBusters, Empolis clarifies common misconceptions surrounding iiRDS.
- And last but not least, in Das iiRDS-Teilmodell für die Verwaltungsschale – Überblick und Use Cases, plusmeta presents an overview of the asset administration shell (AAS) and introduces the submodel "Intelligent Information for Use" that offers the possibility of making intelligent information available in the Digital Twin with the help of iiRDS.
